The ABCs of Scented Playdough—C is for Coconut Scented Playdough {Bee Crafty Kids #29}

Welcome to the 29th Bee Crafty Kids here at To the Moon and Back!

This week I’m continuing my ABCs of Scented Playdough series.
This week we are on the letter C so the scent that I decided to use coconut.

To make this natural smelling playdough, gather up the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 teaspoons white vinegar
  • shredded coconut
Mix all the ingredients together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until it starts to clump together

Remove from the heat and knead until it is mixed together well.  *Note: the dough will still be slightly sticky when it is time to take it out of the pan.

Add a big handful of the shredded coconut to the dough and knead it in until it is spread throughout the dough.

If you want to add more because you want more texture or you can’t smell the coconut as much as you’d like, go right ahead.  Make sure to knead after every addition.

Once it is cooled completely, play and have fun!

That’s it!  Next week, the letter D!

  1. Thanks for the linky party. It has been a while since I have had time to post what we have been doing, so I haven’t had anything to come and link up. Hoping to get back on track.
