J is for Jolly Rancher Scented Playdough

It’s time for the letter J in the ABCs of Scented Playdough series!

J isn’t as easy a letter to come up with a playdough scent for as I thought.  I originally had a few ideas, but I wasn’t able to get the supplies I needed in time so my husband came up with this idea–Jolly Rancher scented playdough!

How fun, right?

As all of my playdough recipes are, this is super simple to make.

Supplies Needed:

  • 4-5 cups flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 pkg Jolly Rancher brand gelatin (whatever flavor you choose)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup water

In a large bowl, mix together water and oil. Add all dry ingredients.  Using a wooden spoon, mix until the liquid is well incorporated.

Dump onto the counter and knead together until it blends well in and the dough holds together.  If necessary, add a little more flour to decrease stickiness.

Now you have  no cook candy scented edible sensory activity!

See you next week for K!

  1. Wow, you are doing a scented play doh for every letter of the alphabet?? Your kids must think you are the best. I think I will pick one or two of my favorites to try.
