The story of David and Goliath holds a special place in my heart. My six year old son loved this Bible story and would pretend he was the young shepherd boy David, wielding his sling to defeat the mighty Philistine giant. I even have a video of his reenactment when he was around three years old, complete with a whistling sound effect as Goliath falls to the ground. My husband even made him is own sling with some rope and bits of fabric.
Sentimentality aside, the story of David is a great example of faith and courage. It’s the story of a real life hero who placed his fate in the Lord’s hands and remained steadfast in the midst of adversity. What better role model could you ask for?
To help your little ones learn the story of David and Goliath, I have created a FREE printable page pack filled with 11 coloring pages including Psalm 23 from the KJV and 10 pages of manuscript copywork.
