It’s no secret that I really love children’s bibles. I think it’s a wonderful thing to surround our children with the Word of the Lord. No matter the age, they can begin to absorb the truths that Scripture teaches. The Adventure Bible for Toddlers is the newest edition to our collection and is quickly becoming a favorite with my 15 month old. It’s a sturdy board book sized perfectly for little hands that features ten stories from the Bible.

A Bible for Toddlers

From the Old Testament:

  • The Adventure Begins (Creation)
  • Noah’s Ark
  • Moses’ Many Adventures
  • Boy Versus Giant (David and Goliath)
  • Drooling Lions (Daniel and the Lions’ Den)
  • Fish Food (Jonah and the Whale)

From the New Testament:

  • Jesus is Born
  • Jesus is Baptized
  • Jesus and the Children
  • The Adventure Continues (Jesus’ ministry and ascension)

The book is geared for the littlest of ears, so the stories are brief. They are rather broad overviews of the stories to provide a beginning building block in your child’s Bible knowledge.

The illustrations are not your typical toddler bible pictures. They are more realistic in nature and give small eyes plenty to examine. We take this Bible to church with us often. Our small country church does not have a nursery and our little one sits in on the service with us. I like to have small quiet things for him to do to occupy himself so that he does not disturb others as they try to worship. The Adventure Bible for Toddlers has kept his attention during several services! He loves turning the pages and pointing to things that interest him on them.

If you are looking for something that will give your toddler a basic introduction to some of the more well known stories from the Bible, you may want to take a look at this one. For only $9.99, it is affordable and fits the bill.

Do you own more than one children’s bible? What are your favorite bibles for toddlers?
