Hello there, I’m Dusty!
I am a stay at home, homeschooling wife and mother with a penchant for reading great books and devouring chocolate. I’ve been married for eight years and have four young children. I started To the Moon and Back in 2008 and used it as a place to communicate with friends and family that lived far away. I’ve grown and changed so much over the years that this is hardly the same blog as it was then.
My Christian walk has blossomed tremendously since that time, even though I still have a lot of growing to do(don’t we all?). When this blog began, I was a college drop out, running from her faith, who’d gotten pregnant before she was wed and then married an unsaved man. I was resentful. I was weary. I was lost. I was struggling both physically and spiritually. Over the years, God has molded me and given me more grace than I can ever deserve and brought me to my knees and back to Him. In His infinite goodness, He also led my husband to Him as well. Now, we are a united team(praise the Lord!), following God and raising our family.
This space is my outlet to share both practical information like recipes, crafts, and homeschooling tidbits and also pieces of my own personal journey. I do not have this ride figured out and I hope that through my own experiences, I can help someone else (or at the very least, provide a good laugh at my own quirks and mistakes because I’m admittedly pretty weird).
I hope to encourage other mothers and wives and keep the doors of communication open here at To the Moon and Back. Feel free to leave comments or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any feedback, questions, or just want to chat!
